Zero-Telemetry Privacy Policy

1. Core Architectural Commitment: Zero Telemetry
Aeroway (aeroway.org) is engineered from the ground up to respect user autonomy and privacy. We believe that pilots, flight students, and aviation educators should be able to consult reference tables and execute mathematical algorithms without their search habits, flight calculations, or identities being tracked, packaged, or monetized.
We operate zero databases, maintain zero user profiles, deploy zero advertising cookies, and run zero background analytics trackers.
2. Personal Data We Do NOT Collect
Unlike conventional web applications, Aeroway does not collect or store:
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical mailing addresses.
- Pilot certificate numbers, logbook entries, or flight hours.
- Aircraft tail numbers, serial numbers, or avionics configurations.
- Calculated flight routes, weights, fuel loads, or departure/destination aerodromes.
- Geolocation coordinates or GPS telemetry data.
- Payment card or billing information (the platform is 100% free and open reference).
3. Client-Side Computational Execution
All aeronautical equations, unit conversions, and data queries executed within our calculation engines run strictly within your local web browser (client-side execution via compiled JavaScript/WebAssembly).
When you enter an altimeter setting, field elevation, or wind vector, those numerical inputs never leave your device. No request payload containing your flight planning parameters is ever transmitted to a remote server.
4. Cookies & Local Storage Policy
Aeroway does not set first-party tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. If local storage is utilized in future interactive calculation engines, it will be strictly restricted to your device’s local browser sandbox (such as saving preferred units: knots vs. mph, or Celsius vs. Fahrenheit) and will never be synced to an external server.
5. Edge Infrastructure & Technical Logs
Our static assets are distributed via global edge content delivery networks (CDNs). In accordance with standard Internet protocol architecture, edge servers may temporarily process basic network connection metadata (such as IP address, user-agent string, and requested asset path) solely to deliver files and defend against distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. These logs are ephemeral and are not correlated with individual identity.
6. Data Minimization by Design
Aeroway is structured on principles of data minimization and privacy-by-design. Because all calculation parameters are processed locally on the client without user accounts, cookies, or profiling, no personal identifying records are stored or monetized.
